Review

Colin McRae Rally 2005 is a rally game developed by Codemasters.
In this game you will have a lot of races to win.
Before to start playing you will see the classic difficulty selection screen. Then you choose your car among the available vehicles (remember that there are a bunch of secret cars) and finally it's time to start.
In the career mode the player plays the role of a pilot who emerged from nowhere, getting to win different races and rally competitions, until finally winning the coveted World Rally. Every race has a number of points required to participate, and it gives the player points when it ends. Those points are used to access other tournaments, and finally reaching the World Rally.

Graphics and sound
The cars have a fantastic finish, really fantastic. They are the exact match of the real models. Inclusive the way the cars get damaged is realistic. The weather effects are impressive, the rain appears in storm scenarios. Now when it floods you will not see absolutely nothing, and you will have to drive almost by intuition.
All cars have their own sound engine, changing gears and accelerating. And it sounds different if we play with the camera inside or outside.

To sum up, this game is exciting and very well done, you will love it.
Advantages
  • Fantastic graphics and incredible scenarios.
  • The sound effects are gorgeous.
Disadvantages
  • None.
